Headz Up Barber Shop (Miami Lakes, FL)
Heavily tattooed owner Hugo Tandron may look like an extra from Sons of Anarchy, but he's damn good at the fine art of grooming—and has the celebrity clientele to back that up. After almost 20 years of MLB players and other local luminaries coming by his private residence for cuts, Tandron opened this shop 10 years back. The staff includes Tandron's son and a cast of characters worthy of reality TV (which is currently in the works, by the way). For now, customers can come by the shop, run into the occasional ballplayer, and chat up the colorful Tandron, if he's around. During baseball season, he splits time between this location and a new shop inside the Miami Marlins ballpark, where he serves as the official team barber.
Know before you go: Tandron is staffed for walk-ins, but appointments are recommended.
